You may a wait little bit longer (duh, it’s a food truck with limited staff, this is normal if you ever been to a food truck as they have online and dash/uber orders to also fill) , but that trifongo is SO GOOD. I don’t have to drive into Orlando for trifongo from chimiking so it’s a good day. DELICIOUS. Not dry. Soft and tasty. People complaints about dryness, mofongo is not SUPER juicy (it’s literally of friend components lmao), if you prefer “softer” GET THE TRIFONGO which has soft sweet maduros, making it a bit less crunchy/chewy depending on preference. Staff was nice. Spent like $40 for 2 meals, on par with food truck meals tbh. It’s like this- if you don’t understand food truck culture and hate waiting. Go to millers or hungry howies instead. Things to also keep in mind- this is food truck/patio style, not a fine dining experience, just solid food from a small family owned business making everything fresh. In any scenario, solid and I hope to continue to see more Spanish food restaurants in Clermont!

3 months agoComing from New York. It’s been hard to find good Caribbean food. We ordered one of the combos and the food was great! Everything was amazing and the price was affordable. We’ll be frequent customers 😊

3 months agoBest trifongo in Clermont. Me and my fiancé came here for the first time and was greeted with a smile and great service. Menu was big. Our only regret is that our stomachs weren't big enough to order more. Definitely one of our new fave spots and will be back next week.

4 months agoWanda’s Mofongo House – “I came. I waited. I left confused and hungry.” Let me start by saying: I wanted to love this place. I really did. I walked up with hope in my heart and left with a to-go box of disappointment and a confused wallet. Wanda’s has a menu the size of the Dead Sea Scrolls. I’m not sure if I ordered lunch or enrolled in culinary college. If you go here, bring a compass, a tour guide, and maybe a translator because the menu has EVERYTHING… and that might be the problem. It’s a food truck trying to be a full-service restaurant with a menu meant for a cruise ship buffet. Let’s talk price. I ordered the Cazuela Mariscos en Salsa de Coco — $30. Yes, you read that right. Thirty. Dollars. From a food truck. If I had known that BEFORE ordering, I would have backed away slowly like I just saw a wild bear. My wife said it tasted terrible, and when we got home, she also discovered it had the ingredient quantity of a small appetizer. I think the coconut flavor was hiding because it knew it wasn’t worth the price. Timing… oh boy. Our food came out separately, like they were trying to keep us humble. I ate a Cuban sandwich (which was “fine” like a 2003 Toyota Corolla is “fine”) while my wife stared at me like a visitor at the zoo. She didn’t get her food until much later and ended up taking it home. For $30, I expected angels to deliver it or at least both plates to arrive in the same geological era. Comfort & logistics: Chairs? They feel like they were designed by someone who hates sitting. Bathroom? Bring your camper, because there isn’t one. Wait time? Hope you like waiting. Bring snacks. And a pillow. Maybe start a side business while you’re there. To be fair: they were friendly. Super nice people. I genuinely wish them success. But this menu needs a diet. Focus on the favorites, simplify, be a great food truck, not an entire Cheesecake Factory on wheels. The Good: The staff was pleasant. When we finally left an hour later, we had each other. And that counts for something. Right? Right? 😅 The Bad: Expensive like it’s trying to pay rent in Manhattan. Slow service and dishes coming out like surprise plot points. Food wasn’t memorable enough to justify any of it. Final Thoughts: If you really want to try it, call ahead, clear your calendar, and maybe take out a small loan. In the meantime, I’ll be trying the other food trucks next time because this was a last-minute decision that tasted exactly like one. I don’t recommend it — but hey, maybe your luck will be better.

4 months agoService can be slow so order ahead. The food is a bit hit or miss. The mofongo wasn’t for us - it was dry and had Swiss cheese on it, which really threw off the flavor. However, the crab empanadas are phenomenal and absolutely worth ordering. Alcapurrias are good too. The chicken pincho is the best pincho option.

8 months agoPicaderas! A delicious platter of fried meats, cheese and tostones. So glad that we came here, great vibe all around, a comfy little spot right in the middle of town. We split an order for two and couldn't stop talking about coming back for more. Very friendly service and the owners went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I ordered a Cheesecake Frappe to go with our dinner, what an amazing and extravagant drink! Highly recommend, thanks Wanda's!

9 months agoDuring a recent dining experience, I recently ordered chicharrón de pollo con tostones, while my wife opted for carne frita con tostones. However, what I received were bland chicken tenders, devoid of any flavor. As you can see in the attached photos, we were left with unfinished leftovers. It's truly disheartening, especially since I love supporting Spanish vendors. However, the high prices coupled with the disappointing quality of the food mean I won't be returning. Nonetheless, I wish them all the best in their future endeavors.
